Extruded Enclosure

Feature Spotlight: Aluminum Extrusions

The aluminum portion of the enclosure is made from four extrusions with the same profile. They can be slotted together to create a closed shape, eliminating the need for hollow sections in the extrusion profile. This greatly reduces the cost of the extruded portion.

Machining costs are negligible because the thin and flat geometry of the aluminum extrusions allows them to be stamped; the machining costs can be further reduced by the use of thread-cutting screws.
